ASTDA/IUSTI North America is a sponsor of the 2019 National Sexual Health Conference (NSHC) held in Chicago, July 10-12. The NSHC works to move sexual health forward in the United States by creating opportunities to share information, efforts, and best practices around sexual health across the lifespan, as well as by bridging the varied disciplines of education, advocacy, and clinical care, among others.

The conference involves 800 – 1,000 participants from across the spectrum of sexual health with topics including reproductive health, comprehensive sex education, STIs and HIV, cultural responsiveness, mental health, stigma, social determinants of health, gender identity, and more.

The agenda includes over 100 sessions with cutting-edge topics across the spectrum of sexual health delivered by over 200 presenters from around the country and around the world. Additional pre-conference and evening sessions will include an evening presentation by Chicago’s Global Girls and a special Poster and Networking Reception.

The 2019 conference will be co-chaired by Dr. Virginia Caine from Indiana University School of Medicine and IUSTI North America Director, Dr. Kees Rietmeijer. ASTDA past-president Dennis Fortenberry and past secretary Ned Hook are among the plenary speakers.
