The Association for Molecular Pathology is pleased to invite representatives from ASTDA to attend a VIRTUAL Lunch and Learn to answer Patients’ questions about COVID-19 and testing.

Thursday, August 13th
12:00pm-1:30pm

In lieu of our usual in-person Lunch and Learn event, we invite you to don your best webcam apparel and join us for an intimate lunch-time discussion!

For many months, the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) has been working non-stop on all fronts to support our members as they develop and perform diagnostic tests for COVID-19, including informing and championing policy to ensure that these tests are covered for all patients.

In an effort to continue to be a resource to the patient community, we welcome the opportunity to share our experiences and work with our valued advocacy partners collaboratively during this pandemic. Additionally, we aim to allow plenty of time for attendees to answer any questions you and your patients have about COVID-19 and testing! For example, are there special COVID-19 testing considerations for the pediatric population? And how has the COVID-19 pandemic affected biomarker testing at cancer diagnosis?

Please join us for a conversation with three molecular professionals who have been working tirelessly to provide COVID-19 diagnostic tests to patients across the country:

  • Jennifer Dien Bard, PhD, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles,
  • Eric Konnick, MD, University of Washington Medical Center, and
  • Jordan Laser, MD, Northshore – Long Island Jewish Health System.
