Call for Applications for the ASTDA Board of Directors
The ASTDA Nomination Committee is soliciting applications for several positions on the ASTDA Board of Directors.
Based on the latest amendments to the ASTDA Charter and Bylaws approved by the ASTDA membership on January 7, 2020, we are currently looking to fill the following positions for a two-year term:
- Up to two (2) early career stage members (i.e., a member who is no more than seven years from completion of training)
- Up to three (3) at-large members
These positions are open to any current ASTDA member with interest in mentoring and supporting the next generation of STI professionals. Healthcare providers, researchers, and others who work in the STI field are welcome to apply for these positions. After the nomination period, qualified individuals who meet the needs of the current Board composition will be put forward for consideration in an election by the ASTDA membership in April 2020.
While we encourage all who are interested to apply, the ASTDA Board of Directors particularly encourages applications from individuals with interest or expertise in social media or policy/advocacy.
Applications should include:
- A current CV
- A brief cover letter summarizing the candidate’s qualifications and reasons for wanting to be a member of the ASTDA Board of Directors. If applicable, please describe interest or expertise in social media or policy/advocacy
